Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be homeschooling to attend the conference?
Not at all! If you are a parent or if you mentor a child, this conference is for you.
Do I have to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to attend the conference?
No. The conference is open to anyone. Any Christian attending will find lots of like-minded people and ideas. It is, however, designed with LDS families in mind. The Church is in no way affiliated with the conference.
What are the age requirements for the Youth Conference?
The ages are 12 to 18. Your child must be at least age 12 by March 1, 2016.
Can I bring my children younger than 12?
Yes! And No. There are activities and events in the Family Marketplace just for kids under 12, as long as they always have a parent designated adult with them at all times. You can switch off going to classes with a friend or spouse while the kids are entertained in the Family Marketplace. The classes, however, are being recorded, so we ask that you not bring children in with you. Breastfeeding babies are welcome to attend with mom and there will be a mother's room provided. Check our Family Marketplace schedule to see what classes and activities are available for younger children.
Why can't I bring my younger children with me to the adult classes?
When bringing younger children to the Family Marketplace activities they must be supervised at all times and may not attend adult classes with parents. It is difficult for younger children to sit still and quietly in classes meant for adults. Youth Conference is for youth 12-18 ONLY. Younger children may not attend with siblings.
Do I have to bring my tickets with me to the conference and concert?
No. We will have your name(s) on a registry check-in sheet if you lose or forget them. Please be aware, however, that this may make the check-in process take a little longer.
